What is the minimum pay and conditions for employees?
The minimum hourly wages and classifications are set by the Australian Fair Pay Commission.
The new No Disadvantage Test (NDT) also applies to all workplace agreements, including the new Individual Transitional Employment Agreements (ITEAs). The Workplace Authority will assess a proposed ITEA by comparing the ITEA with an applicable collective agreement or award to ensure employees are not disadvantaged by the terms and conditions of the proposed ITEA. The Authority will then write to both the employer and employee to let them know whether the ITEA has passed the NDT.
